Using Your Breath to Manage Emotions

Mindfulness techniques are a great way to manage our discomforting emotions.  When it involves our emotions, we have two types of brain; emotional and rational brain.  When we lose control of our emotions this is an indication that we have activated our emotional brain and deactivated our rational brain.  We become hijacked by our emotional brain and are unable to problem solve or create positive thoughts.  To reactivate our rational brain, we must learn to BREATHE.
